Commissioner Susan (Suzy) Genzale

Susan (Suzy) Genzale has 35 years experience running a small business with her late husband Tony Genzale, handling the administrative and accounting end of their business. Starting in the Pike Place Market, they later moved to Tony’s 148th Street Market in Burien, and finally to the current location at Tony’s Market on 35th SW and Barton, where she continues to operate the Market, along side her son Joey.
Suzy received a Nursing Certification from Seattle Community College (St. Francis Cabrini Hospital School of Nursing) and worked as a nurse for many years. She also volunteered as School Nurse for St. Francis of Assisi School for 14 years, and was active in fundraising for the school.
An avid equestrian, Suzy has also been an Animal Advocate Volunteer for Hope for Horses. A mother of three, Suzy is a long time resident of the Gregory Heights neighborhood.
